About Yoyo
Yoyo’s designer and maker – Helen Johannessen is a trained ceramist with particular expertise in modelling and mould making.
We run a Constultancy Service for most kinds of ceramic design from prototyping to production for functional or sculptural work on any scale.
Advice on casting or moulding projects for resins, rubbers or plasters are also welcome.

A bit of History
Yoyo Ceramics was set up in 2003. Since then, this modest size business has grown in product range and reputation.
‘Is that Plastic?’ had their first outing at 100% Design at Earls Court, London with Mazorca Projects – a London based organisation that helps support and promote designer/makers in the UK, see Hidden Art for membership and information. It was here that Yoyo Ceramics gained notoriety both here in the UK and abroad.
There were only 3 designs in the collection and were made in just the Mint Green/Cream combination!
We exhibit regularly throughout the year which will be mentioned on the News page or you’ll get to hear about first if you’ve signed up.
